Adobe Patches Nine Security Flaws in Flash Player
Adobe released patches for products such as Flash Player, Shockwave Player, Digital Edition, and Captivate in its security bulletins announced today. The four security bulletins are released to fix 20 security flaws mostly related to Adobe Flash Player and Shockwave Player. The security bulletins released for Adobe Player were given the first priority and it is strongly recommended to update it as soon as possible. The four security update was named as follow APSB17-17, APSB17-18, APSB17-19 and APSB17-20 respectively.
APSB17-17 for Adobe Flash Player: This security update released for Adobe Flash Player for Chrome, Linux, Windows and Mac OS X. This update was released to fix the vulnerabilities that possibly allow cyber crooks to take control over the targeted PC. The latest Adobe Flash Player version is 220.127.116.11.
APSB17-18 for Adobe Shockwave Player: This security update for Adobe Shockwave Player is launched for Windows. This fixes a particular critical memory corruption issue. 18.104.22.168 is the latest Adobe Shockwave Player.
APSB17-19 For Adobe Captivate: This security update is released for Adobe Captivate which is the Adobe’s Learning Software. This update resolves vulnerability (CVE-2017-3087) which resulted due to exploitation of Captivate Quiz reporting feature. The current Adobe Captivate version number is 10.0.0.192.
APSB17-20 for Adobe Digital Editions: The Adobe Digital Editions namely Adobe ebook reader got this update for Mac, Windows, Android as well as iOS. This update targets to fix critical memory corruption vulnerabilities. The latest Adobe Digital Editions version is 4.5.5.
